On Sunday 23/6/2013 LAM Communications Ltd ‘LAMCO’ and our merry band of ‘LAMFEST Helpers’ set out at 6am to open for traders and exhibitors at the Elsecar Heritage centre near Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Our mission ‘To raise money for cancer research’, as we have suffered personally in our own family, but also for friends and customers alike who have suffered or lost friends and family to this devastating disease.

We achieved our goal by 4pm.

Thank you to all who attended the rally as visitors and traders alike. We raised £1347.52 comprising of a cheque kindly donated by the ‘Worked all Britain Group’ of £500.00 and the balance by all who attended.

Icom UK, Kenwood Electronics, Yaesu UK and LAMCO all donated prizes for our raffle draw which took place at 3pm. Numbers were drawn by my youngest daughter Freya and verified by my eldest daughter Georgia.  On the microphone as compare, Gary Wilkinson aka ‘Pizza Man’ from the historic Atlantic 252 broadcast station read out the winning numbers.
